Floya, undertakes to make these mobile applications accessible, in accordance with the following legislation: Ordinance regarding the accessibility of websites and mobile applications for regional government bodies and the municipalities (Brussels Capital Region).

The mobile applications are partially compliant due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below. An external accessibility audit was carried out by Eleven Ways. This audit consisted of an in-depth analysis.

There are, however, many issues that still need to be addressed, especially with regard to

Improvement plan

Some improvements have already been implemented in the app while others are in development. We plan to roll out several accessibility enhancements incrementally in 2024 in order to reach the required level outlined in the ‘Ordinance regarding the accessibility of websites and mobile applications for regional government bodies and the municipalities’ by the end of 2024.

Floya’s compliance efforts are being carried out in close operation with associations.

Floya is committed to ensure digital accessibility of its website and mobile applications, in accordance with the EU Web Accessibility Directive regarding the accessibility of websites and mobile applications for regional government bodies and municipalities (Brussels Capital Region). This statement applies to the domain https://floya.brussels/.

Accessibility statements for the mobile applications of Floya (iOS and Android) are provided below.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

At the time of writing, our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

This statement has been updated on March 5th 2024, and is based on an external accessibility audit carried out by Eleven Ways on March 5th 2024. This audit consisted of an in-depth analysis by a IAAP certified accessibility expert

Limitations & alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of our website, some issues have been observed on several pages. Those include:

· Missing or inaccurate text alternatives on images

· Missing audio description track on videos

· Illogical headings hierarchy

· Form elements not programmatically linked to their visible label

· Form elements don’t identify mandatory fields

· Insufficient colour contrast on certain texts and graphic elements

· Animated logo carousel cannot be paused

· Missing sitemap or other alternative way to navigate the website

· Missing labels on buttons

· Form elements don’t provide sufficient instructions and error suggestions

There is no alternative provided yet for those limitations. Remediating those issues is our priority.
